Diesel has become one of the most popular types of fuel for the vehicle over the last decade, and its demand is constantly increasing due to rising fuel prices and efficient diesel engines.

Composition of diesel is changed considering great temperature differences in Lithuania in winter and summer, as well as to avoid operating problems, diesel fuel is divided into three classes.

Class C: summer, which is traded in Lithuania from May 1 till September 30.
Class E: transitional, which is traded in Lithuania from March 1 till April 30, and from October 1 till November 30.
Class A1 or A2; arctic: winter, which is traded in Lithuania from December 1 till February 28.
The diesel does not freeze to -32 degrees.
