UAB Finoila sells diesel, which is used in heating. Diesel fuel for heating can also be used in technological processes of painting or drying. This diesel is different from car diesel only in colour – it is painted red. Diesel fuel (heating oil) marking procedure is regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania.
Composition of diesel is changed considering great temperature differences in Lithuania in winter and summer, as well as to avoid operating problems, diesel fuel is divided into three classes.
Class C: summer, which is traded in Lithuania from May 1 till September 30.
Class E: transitional, which is traded in Lithuania from March 1 till April 30, and from October 1 till November 30.
Class A1 or A2; arctic: winter, which is traded in Lithuania from December 1 till February 28.
The diesel does not freeze to -32 degrees.
